We are a church-planting church, and we want to see all the communities we plant to flourish. It is crucial that we support our newest communities in Brooklyn and Zimbabwe as they become sustainable and strong. Together we will enable continued health and growth by investing strategically in our leadership, ministries, and facilities.
The promise in Genesis 12 that we are blessed to be a blessing means there is a purpose to our enrichment. 2 Corinthians 9:11 says, “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.“
Each December during our Seed Offering, Liberty Church sees the fantastic results of what we can do through our collective generosity when we give sacrificially. And by partnering with God, we have seen the difference our giving has made in New York City and beyond. On Sunday, Paul Andrew asked each of us to give sacrificially toward this year’s Seed Offering to support the strength and sustainability of our new church plants. “It doesn’t matter if your part is $50 or $50,000. Ask the Holy Spirit, ‘What would you have me give?'”
In Brooklyn, which was planted in January 2014, we have seen continued growth with nearly 300 guest cards from new people connecting with our church. Justin and Kristen Tarsiuk with their son Rocco also joined our pastoral staff to oversee the Brooklyn Community. And the Brooklyn Community has been fully involved across all ministries of our church.
In Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, projects are already underway for developing the campus and care point, developing staff, and meeting needs in the community. Yet there is a great need for new leadership development programs, continuing the construction of the communities center, and supporting Gethin and Bex as our first full-time missionaries.
Watch the video below to find out how you can be a part of supporting the longterm health of these two communities.
