Liberty Church is now offering a leadership development program for those who want to build character in their personal life and strengthen their skills for executing their calling. The program will run for six months beginning July 7. Applications are now open for the fifteen spots and will be accepted until June 1.
Justin Tarsiuk, pastor of our Brooklyn Community, is heading the program. He says, “We want to equip people who have a desire to see God’s Kingdom advanced through the local church and in your workplace, but it’s a program for anybody who wants to grow in their personal leadership and discipleship.”
Equip’s methodology of empowerment means participants will receive hands-on training and mentorship from the high-caliber leaders at the core of our church. They will also be given the responsibility of supporting a specific segment of the church body that relates to their skills and interests—whether worship or finance, social media or Liberty Kids.
The weekly course will offer direct training from our ministry leaders and staff and cover topics that range from studies on how to partner with the Holy Spirit to understanding personal finances and managing conflict resolution. In addition to a Tuesday night discipleship course, the program will provide volunteer opportunities that go beyond internship to leadership in project management. It’s a great way to see Liberty Church and its inner workings. And it’s an environment that emphasizes spiritual growth. Justin says, “We want to teach people that leadership starts with leading yourself.”
