Seed Fund Update: Brooklyn Community Growing in Strength

No Comments 21 July 2024

Since the onset of Liberty Church in 2010, Pastors Paul & Andi Andrew have had a “2020 Vision” - to impact ten communities in ten years by the year 2020. That vision resulted in Seed Fund, which now exists to plant churches as well as support church planters and to help give them the vital support they need during their first three years.

In January 2014, Liberty Church launched a third community in Brooklyn. Over these past 8 months, we’ve seen incredible things happen - reaching a whole new community of people in Brooklyn, introducing Spanish translation, and the growth of a true church family.

In June came a new milestone with the announcement that pastors Justin & Kristen Tarsiuk would be joining to lead the Liberty Brooklyn community.

Justin and Kristen hail from Oasis Church in Los Angeles. Kristen’s background is as the Marketing and Communications Director for GodChicks (the women’s ministry of Oasis), and Justin led as the Service Teams Director, overseeing Sunday volunteer teams at Oasis. They’re both thrilled to join the Liberty family and be part of what God is doing in NYC and beyond!

After one Sunday experiencing Liberty Church, Kristen and I knew we were home. We are so excited to join Paul, Andi and the Liberty Church team in building the Brooklyn community..we look forward to serving our new city with you.” - Justin Tarsiuk

Welcoming Justin and Kristen as new Community Pastors is an important step towards the long term health and sustainability of our Brooklyn Community. Seed Fund will allow for there to be continued investment into Brooklyn while it’s still in its beginning stages - these next two years that are key for building strength - to grow a community that can continue to flourish from the inside out.

If you’re interested in learning more about Seed Fund and/or ways you can contribute, visit www.SeedFund.org.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enrichedin every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2Cor9:9-10 NIV

“Heaven Without Hell” Rhema Trayner - Podcast

No Comments 09 July 2024

Often as Christians we can focus on salvation without understanding what we have been saved from. Without understanding the penalty of sin and what sin actually deserves, it’s impossible to understand the mercy and great love of God toward us in his provision of salvation from sin and death for who so ever will believe!

Rhema Trayner preached this message, “Heaven Without Hell” at our services in Brooklyn, Soho, and Union Square on July 6, 2014.

Walk My Block Weekend | July 12 & 13

No Comments 08 July 2024

In Joshua 6, God instructed the Israelites to march around Jericho in prayer, after which the walls of the city fell and ground was taken. As a church, we believe in taking spiritual ground in our city for the Kingdom of God.

So on the weekend of July 12th and 13th, we’re inviting every person in Liberty Church to circle your block in prayer. It’s an opportunity to pray for your block, your neighborhood, your church and your city.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Let’s lift our voices together in prayer for our city!

“Unseen Kingdoms” Rhema Trayner - Podcast

No Comments 28 June 2024

What is supernatural warfare? The Bible says that we are in a battle with darkness and warns us, not only to be aware of that battle, but to live equipped and ready to advance against the kingdom of darkness with the power of the Holy Spirit. Angels and demons are seldom talked about, yet it’s important that we understand their place and what that means for our lives.

Rhema Trayner preached this message called “Unseen Kingdoms” at our services in Brooklyn, Soho, and Union Square on June 22, 2014.
