Connect Groups have always been at the core of Liberty Church. These midweek bible studies meet in homes across New York City every other week, each group representing different neighborhoods or the various stages of life.

Right now there are 10 of them, soon to be 11 when our Jersey City Connect Group launches in May. From Brooklyn to Jersey people are growing in their relationship with God, and each other.

Liberty Church is a community, not a crowd.

Andi Andrew wrapped up our Modern Family series with a message called “Church As A Family” during our Sunday service at the Tribeca Cinemas on March 27th 2011.

We’re very excited to have a long-time friend and exceptional preacher Magnus Persson from Sweden joining us at Liberty Church on Sunday Apr 3rd at 11am.

Magnus Persson is the founder and senior pastor of a vibrant and growing church called UNITED with congregations in Malmoe, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark.

The church is strategically placed in the midst of Scandinavia’s fastest growing and expanding region Oresund, with more then 3 million citizens. UNITED was started year 2000 and he and his wife Gunilla celebrated the church’s 10th anniversary last year with a sabbatical in NYC (Paul & Andi are inspired to reciprocate with a Swedish sabbatical in 2020 for Liberty Church’s 10th anniversary).

Magnus serves currently on the board of Eurolead.net www.eurolead.net, a European network for churches, pastors and leaders. He and Gunilla has been married for 18 years and have three children.

Guest speaker Rachel Hickson wrapped up our HOPE series with a message called “Hope For The Nation” during our Sunday service at the Tribeca Cinemas on March 6th 2011.

We’re now holding weekly church services at the Tribeca Cinemas in Lower Manhattan - doors open at 10.30am.

Liberty Church is not just an event or an institution. We are a community, a catalyst and a cause.

Next Sunday March 13th we’re launching a new three week series called “Modern Family” at Liberty Church.

We’re also shifting our service half an hour later starting that morning- 10.30am Guest Lounge, and 11.00am Service.

What is the “modern family”? Is it Dad, Mom & two kids living the American dream?

More than ever people seem to be searching for real “family”, especially here in New York City. Liberty Church started hosting Family Dinners on Sunday nights and we were inundated with as many as 40 people in our apartment. Why? What was family meant to be, what has it become, and what is God saying to us all about family in the 21st century?
