Join A Connect Group

No Comments 29 September 2024

If you’ve been involved or even just a visitor at Liberty Church, you’ve probably heard about our Connect Groups held across New York City. In the city that never sleeps, they are an oasis of community, family and friends; a place of rest where you connect with other like-minded people and study the Word of God.
Connect Groups are the core and heartbeat of Liberty Church. We believe that they’re not only a great means of building relationships, but also a place to learn and grow as followers of Christ.
“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47

Liberty Sisterhood Launch - Thur Sept 29th

No Comments 26 September 2024

Calling all women of Liberty Church!!!

This Thursday night is an important and pivotal night in our Church’s history as we launch our Women’s Movement. I don’t believe in doing anything “just because” it sounds like a good idea. I believe in doing something with purpose that has God all over it. And in saying that, it’s time to gather the women of our church because it does have great purpose and significance in each of our individual lives.

Micah 5:1 says “NOW GATHER yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; a state of siege has been placed against us.” Amplified Version

It is gender specific AND is a call to gather… So on Thursday night, our troop will gather and take our place.

It will be a great night to come along and bring friends as it will be an empowering night for all who attend. I am so grateful that countless women have gone before us and paved some serious ground so that we can rise up and take our place NOW in this great city. It’s our turn to live in our “such a time as this”…

Also practically on the evening we’d love to bless a local charity in the city called WIN (Women In Need). So please bring along women’s toiletries and supplies for babies so that we can help in meeting their practical needs. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ on the earth…

Here are the details for the night… looking forward to seeing you and your friends there!

Date: Thursday September 29th
Venue: Tribeca Cinemas 54 Varick Street Tribeca
Trains: A,C,E & 1,2,3

Highlights: Union Square Community Launch Service

No Comments 24 September 2024

On Sunday, September 18, over 200 people joined together at the New York Film Academy for what would prove to be Liberty Church’s largest gathering yet.

Check out the gallery below!!

Liberty’s Union Square second community was still just a dream only a few short months ago, but by God’s faithfulness and support from within our church and other church communities, we were able to launch what we hope is the first of many Liberty communities across New York City.

The evening kicked off at 6:30pm with our guest lounge - complete with coffee, doughnuts, and a community excited to worship God and celebrate the launch.

When 7pm rolled around, every seat was filled, and the venue was soon overcome by clapping, dancing, and voices loudly singing songs of praise. In those moments it was clear that God had His hand on the new church community.

After the time of worship, lead pastor Paul Andrew kicked off the new community by giving a brief background of Liberty Church and our vision of reaching New York City one community at a time. He then introduced the Union Square community pastor, Sebastian Buffa, who delivered a message titled, “A New Kind of Normal.” The message had hearts and minds fixated on God’s provision for not only our individual lives, but how through us we can reach others across New York City and the world.

By the end of the service, 9 people had given their lives to Christ, and countless lives were blessed at what was a clear milestone for us as a church community.

We hope that if you’re in NYC you’ll join us one Sunday evening to experience what we believe is God at work in this city! For more information or questions feel free to email us at [email protected]

Liberty Church 101 - RSVP Today

No Comments 22 September 2024

If you’ve been thinking about making Liberty Church home then we would love to invite you to Liberty Church 101.

It’s a two hour class where you have the opportunity to spend time with Andi and I as we share a meal and answer questions like:

* How did the church start?
* What are our vision and values?
* What do we believe?
* How is the church managed?
* Who are the leaders?
* Why do we encourage volunteering?
* How about tithing?
* What does “membership” mean here?
* plus the chance to ask questions of your own…

We’re building a community, not a crowd. And we believe there’s great power in the decision to get planted in a local church rather than just attend (Psalm 92).

There are TWO options to attend:

Tuesday Sept 27th 7.30pm-9.30pm
177 Prince Street, Soho 2nd floor
or
Sunday Oct 2nd 1.00pm-3.00pm
Tribeca Cinemas, 54 Varick Street, (right after the service)

You can RSVP by simply emailing [email protected] or calling 347-338-0637
