Brooklyn Open Night - Join the Team

Think you might be interested in being part of Liberty Church Brooklyn when it launches this Fall? Then we’d love to invite you to be part of the volunteer team.

Our Open Night on Jan. 29th is the perfect opportunity to hear more about who we are as a church and our vision for Brooklyn, as well as meet some of the team and ask questions.

Why Brooklyn?
At the height of her prominence in 1863, Brooklyn was once known as the “city of churches” due to the well known number of preachers and clergymen from a variety of religious streams that emerged. Now, 150 years later, Liberty Church plans to break ground in Brooklyn this Fall to unlock the keys to a city that still holds God’s heart. It’s a city rich in culture, history and growing families.

Tanya Butterfield, a member of our Brooklyn launch team who once wrote a paper in Bible college about planting a church in the very neighborhood she now calls home, shares her thoughts on this incredible, divinely appointed moment for Liberty Church:

“I’m just so excited to be part of what God’s doing. The 10-year wait to see God’s faithfulness for the vision he showed me was difficult but I never doubted it would come to pass. My passion for Brooklynites stems from the unique ethnic, cultural, and spiritual diversity that I get to see in the faces of the people who come to the cafe that I work at and have built relationships with. I get to wake up every day and share the love of Christ with everyone that I meet. And to imagine that I would get to help build a community with the family I got saved with, my best friends, Paul and Andi, in the very city I have had a heart for so many years is beyond my dreams. I feel like Jeremiah did when he felt the fire shut up in his bones and couldn’t contain it.”

These are exciting times for Liberty Church and we couldn’t agree more with Tanya.
