Seed Offering 2013 - It’s Time To Sow

No Comments 30 November 2024

We’d love you to really pray about your part to play in this year’s Seed Offering as we expand the vision of the church and plant new communities on three continents.
This December we’re believing to raise $250,000 through our annual Seed Offering over and above our regular budgeted tithes of $80,000 that are needed for ongoing church operations. Our church communities in London and Zimbabwe will also be getting behind that goal, along with our partners around the world.
As you give to the Seed Offering you will help support five key priorities….
Liberty Church Brooklyn
On the eve of the launch of Liberty Church Brooklyn next month we have just $60,000 still to raise of our $200,000 budget. These funds will go directly to essential areas including worship & production, Liberty Kids, Guest Lounge and marketing.

Liberty Church London
London is a truly global city and the need for new life-giving churches to be planted is great. Our launch team are seeing extraordinary results and we want to make a significant contribution towards the £200,000 needed to to launch this community in strength in 2014.

Liberty Church Zimbabwe
We are honored to have adopted our partner church in Sauerstown into the family as they become Liberty Church Zimbabwe. Both the needs and the opportunity to make a difference are great. In particular we are focusing on funding full-time pastoral staff and leadership development.

Liberty City
The mandate of Liberty City is to meet needs in our neighborhoods and to help those who might never walk through the doors of our church. In 2013 we gave Liberty City over $40,000 to serve our city and we hope to double that amount in 2014.

Core Strength Projects
In order to continue to giving from strength we must continue to invest in making Liberty Church in NYC stronger. Our greatest need here currently is staff to care for our growing communities - Bob & Mavis Green for Pastoral Care, and creating a Central Ministries Director role.

HOW TO GIVE

  1. Give online here and choose “Seed Offering” when you give.
  2. You can also use the special envelopes provided in Sunday services.

* A reminder to all our Visionaries that your Visionaries giving during the month of December will be counted towards our Seed Offering.

Thank you for your incredible generosity
Paul & Andi Andrew, Lead Pastors

Brooklyn - January 2014

No Comments 18 November 2024

Lead Pastors Paul and Andi Andrew moved from Sydney, Australia, in 2010 to plant Liberty Church in New York City, with a God-inspired dream to establish a Community, a Catalyst, and a Cause, influencing a city that influences the world.

In 2011, they began services in Tribeca and launched a second community in Union Square the same year. Church communities in Zimbabwe and London have also sprung up because of Liberty Church’s vision to impact ten communities in ten years.

Liberty Church Brooklyn has always been a prized part of the vision, and we are thrilled to begin weekly services at United Artists Cinemas on January 19, 2014.

Sisterhood Cause Party Recap

No Comments 08 November 2024

“Now It’s Our Turn… has become the heart cry of the Liberty Sisterhood. And it may sound like a funny thing to say, except when you know the meaning behind it.

I was on vacation with my family a few short years ago wrestling with my calling, specifically in the area of “women’s ministry” and in the midst of it all God simply spoke to me and said…

Countless women have gone before you and paved a way… Now it’s your turn…

This was my “rise up” moment. The moment where I knew I couldn’t just sit around and do whatever I felt like. I realized that it was my turn at this point in history to be a funnel from Heaven and bring His Kingdom onto earth.

I truly live with a conviction that now it’s my turn on the earth, so I’m giving it all I’ve got… And I’m taking every woman with me who wants to be a part of that! I love The Liberty Sisterhood… and I am glad that countless women just keep saying “yes!”.

Here are a few pics from last night that I snagged from our women off of Instagram to post for you today and show you what the Cause Party was like. It’s only a taste, but as expected, it exceeded my wildest expectations, and it’s all because a group of women realize… Now It’s Our Turn…” - Pastor Andi Andrew

Cupcakes…

tons and tons of cupcakes.

We had sparkling apple cider, cheese platters, and lots of other fun snacks!

The decor was absolutely beautiful. Large purple flowers, candles and gold frames filled the room.

We opened up the night with a few words. We explained a little bit about Liberty Sisterhood and about our relationship with Covenant house and Mother + Child.

Below is Natasha from Covenant House who said this: “I’ve learned at Covenant House that you may not be able to change the whole world, but you CAN change yourself, and changing yourself is the greatest contribution you can make towards changing the world.” All the girls in the room felt truly inspired by her!

We love live prophetic art!

Here are a few of our faves…

The room was filled with girls laughing and dancing, while making new friends.

Jen did an AMAZING dance, followed by Ito and Emily singing “Roar.”

We gave the 30+ Mothers from Mother and Child gifts bags - filled with special gifts.

Our resident DJ Tim from “Guy & Girl” played fun music for us throughout the night. Go DJ…

“I think my favorite part of the night was the end. We had different stations where girls could give additional donations to Mother + Child. In addition to ticket sales, we were able to raise over $2,000 for the organization. This was a huge thing for us to celebrate! We had so much fun making new friends, eating tons of cupcakes (I had 2!! Shhh), and coming together for something so special. Now it really is our turn…” - Jessi Green @JessiGreenNY

Thank you to everyone that joined! We are looking forward to seeing you at the next sisterhood!

The Battle Of Brooklyn

No Comments 06 November 2024

On August 27th, 1776, General George Washington and ten thousand men of the Continental Army fought what became known as the Battle Of Brooklyn against thirty-two thousand British soldiers.

It was the first battle after the Declaration of Independence the month before. It was also the largest battle of the entire Revolutionary War in terms of soldiers fielded.Brooklyn was a strategic city then, and it is even more so today. In many ways, the Battle of Brooklyn is still being fought today in 2013.

In days gone by, Brooklyn was often referred to as the “City of Churches” but our enemy is real and he has waged a spiritual war that in many parts has taken a heavy toll. Yet, across Brooklyn, it seems that a wave of church planting is increasing in all kinds of neighborhoods, and Liberty Church Brooklyn hopes to be a part of seeing the tide turn.

Personally, I love Brooklyn. Andi and I have lived here with our kids since we first moved to New York City. It’s really like seeing a dream come to pass to plant this new Liberty community in the borough that we love so much.
In many ways, we’ve been pastoring Brooklyn all along. But now we’re “making it official” and launching Sunday services so the Kingdom has one more stake in the ground here… one more battalion sent into the fray for the new Battle Of Brooklyn.
