An invitation to Vision Sunday

Vision SundayThis Sunday, January 25th, we are excited to welcome our entire church community and their family and friends to our Vision Sunday.

Because it’s the anniversary of us starting weekly services as a church in 2011, we always take this opportunity to celebrate what God has been doing in our church, sharing the stories of the transformational work that God is doing in our lives. It’s one of the big events of the year for our Liberty Church family, and one that every year invites more people to call Liberty Church home.

Every year on Vision Sunday we share a short film that tells our story to remind us of our identity, to express gratitude for what God has done in and through our church, and to cast vision for where God is calling us to reach out beyond ourselves in the next year.

Over the past year more than 15,000 people have watched last year’s short film online. In fact, we hear many stories of people, who have since become part of our family, connecting and identifying with our Vision Video before ever setting foot in our services. But there’s nothing like being in the room and taking part in this moment together!

Led by Vision

Habukkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it.”Vision Sunday

We are a church led by vision, the revelation that God gives us through his Spirit. In speaking of the coming year, Lead Pastor Paul Andrew explains, “I’ve had two clear words for 2015 from the Holy Spirit for our church and for me personally. The first is that it’s to be a ‘year of strength at home’. We’re building a home at Liberty Church and as much as we are believing to extend what we do both locally and globally, we are more focused than ever on doing that from strength at home. And flowing from that, the word “dominion” has been resonating in my soul. We are called to take ground, to leave a legacy for the generations, to impact our city in significant ways and to be owners in our promised land.”

So we look back with a grateful heart. We look forward with faith in the promises he has given us. And we welcome all of you to join with us on this special Sunday.
